PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Connecting Agora

CONNECTING AGORÀ is a contemporary reinterpretation of the Greek agorà-stoà,which provides a flexible space for people’s experiences. It is a new hub that is connected to the context, history, nature and habits of the site, a place

where the seeds of future identity can be shown. CONNECTING AGORÀ is the new central public space that connects the city, people, nature and also history, contemporaneity and future. The agorà was the central public space in Ancient Greek cities. The agorà was the center of the city’s athletic, artistic, spiritual and political life. It was the crossing point of the main streets of the city, where public spaces and life converged. The stoà was a filter area of walkway that usually surrounded the agorà.

It was a protected, more private filter between the public square and the surrounding buildings.
